Korean visa

Visa Application Way

There are three types of Korean visa applications. In general, short-term visas (up to 90 days) should be applied through VI (Visa Issuance), and long-term visas (over 90 days) are applied through VICN (Visa Issuance Confirmation Number) or conversion process. However, depending on the visa type, including employment/assignment visa type or individual/company circumstances, there may either be several or limited ways to apply. 02. VICN (Visa Issuance Confirmation Number)

Obtaining a visa issuance before entry to Korea with pre-approval from local immigration authority in Korea.

03. Conversion

Obtaining a visa issuance after entry to Korea at local immigration authority. This can be proceeded only when the applicant has a proper permit to enter Korea and convert the target visa type.
