E-7 visa conversion from C-4 visa

  • Background
    Applicant D, a French national, was residing in Korea under a C-4 visa and was planning to pursue long-term employment in the country. Accordingly, he intended to change his current visa status to an E-7 (long-term employment) visa. However, his E-7 visa application was rejected the failure of selecting an appropriate job category on the application.
  • Challenge
    During the application process, applicants must select the correct job category that matches their qualifications. In Applicant D’s case, he chose an incorrect category, which resulting in the rejection of his application, as he did not meet the qualifications of the job category he applied for. The challenge arose after the application was rejected, since applicant D’s rejection was now on record, which it could negatively affect his future applications.
  • Result
    With the help of Incorp Advisory Partners, applicant D’s second application for a long-term E-7 visa was approved with no issues.
  • Solution
    We assisted applicant D in his second application by instructing him to choose the appropriate job category that aligned with both his previous job and his new position. Further, we assisted the preparation of other additional requirements necessary for his application. We additionally coordinated and accompanied applicant D to an exclusive interview with the immigration office to enhance the likelihood of approval for his second application.
